Jasper First UMC Christmas Outreach

I just wanted to let you know in plenty of time there will be several different ways you can participate in our outreach this Christmas from this point forward. We’ve already had a successful Operation Christmas Child effort with over 50 boxes given. Here is a brief description of the other ways you can help.

  1. White Christmas Offering - An annual offering which supports the Methodist Children’s Home. We are one of their faithful and best supporters.

  2. Maddox Intermediate School – We will receive the names of five students at Maddox who need Christmas gifts provided. They have been well screened. We will work with our Sunday School classes to do these gifts. If you don’t attend a class but want to help with this project the classes will welcome the assistance.

  3. Teachers, Staff, and Students at an Elementary School in Florida Impacted my Hurricane Michael This Christmas we have a chance to impact a local school that has been affected by this storm. St. Andrews is an elementary school in downtown St. Andrews. It is a school for students with behavioral issues. The school after the storm has 96 students with 62 teachers and staff members. We, along with other local churches, want to bless this school. So we are asking our church to buy and wrap one generic gift for a student or a teacher! (Please try to stay away from clothes.) Elsewhere in the newsletter is a list of students and teachers! Please bring your gift, fully wrapped and labeled (Example: 3rd Grade Girl) to the church by Dec. 16th!
